Nathan DiStefano’s Bio

Nathan DiStefano was born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. He received a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Painting at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. His rapid brush strokes and intense colors generate an immediate emotional response and an impression of motion. His paintings capture a brief period of time within a single image and give viewers a visual impression of the passage of time. Many of his paintings feature well-known scenes of Bucks County, Philadelphia, and New York City. The abstract quality of the paintings creates the impression of a scene that is both familiar unfamiliar at the same time. Most of Nathan’s works are abstract landscapes and cityscapes. His most recent work also incorporates figures, and this work focuses on the emotions created by the subjects and their environments together.
